Ascension Church will be hosting our first ever Food Festival Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10. This summer event will only be made possible by the help and collaboration of all parishioners.

While we need volunteers to work and patrons to attend the festival, there are many other ways to contribute your time and talents. Check out the list of items that will be used at the Food Festival and can easily be purchased locally. The more donations of supplies we receive, the less we must buy. You can also find details on our Basket Raffle.

We share our thanks in advance for your generosity and support. We look forward to this exciting opportunity to join together this summer.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

By now, you have heard that a decision has been rendered by the United States Supreme Court on the Dobbs v. Jackson Health case, on a six to three vote, overturning the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision which allowed abortions without restriction. For nearly 50 years, parishioners from our Diocese, joining with the faithful all across the country, have prayed, marched for life in Washington, D.C. and in Harrisburg, and have used their voices to defend the rights of the unborn. As Catholics, we can rejoice that our prayers have been answered with this decision. However, the truth is that much work still needs to be done.
